Awami League is with the 14-party alliance, the party’s joint general secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif said, they will participate in the election based on the alliance.
He said, “December 17 is the last time to withdraw nomination papers. Effective decision regarding 14-party alliance will be taken during this period. There is nothing to be disappointed or confused about. Those who are in the 14-party alliance will be properly evaluated.”
He told reporters about the upcoming 12th National Assembly election at his residence on PTI Road in Kushtia city on Tuesday afternoon.
Regarding the elections, Hanif said, “People of the country always see elections as festive. This time too, despite the opposition of some political parties, there is already a festive mood for the election among the common people across the country.”
In response to the question whether there will be a negative impact on the decision of the party regarding multiple candidates of Awami League in the election, he said, “It will not have any negative impact. Rather, the mood of the festival will increase. Such a decision has been taken for strategic reasons.
