Mohammad Touqir Islam, the director of Shaaticup is bringing a brand new web series in the new year. Although the date is not finalized, the web series is going to be released on an OTT platform in Bangladesh by the end of January next.
A source close to the award-winning director said that the post-production work is going on in India after completing the shooting.
According to sources, this new series of 8 episodes is also being made based on the story of Rajshahi, a northern bordering city of Bangladesh. Omar Masum and Amit Rudra, who became popular with the audience by acting in ‘Shaaticup’, are the primary cast of this web series. Its music is directed by Nabarun Bose from Kolkata.
