Voting of the third phase of the sixth upazila parishad elections will take place on May 29, with balloting through Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in 21 upazilas.
Election Commission (EC) Secretary Md Zahangir Alam announced the schedule of the polls after a meeting of the commission at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka’s Agargaon area on Wednesday.
According to the schedule, May 2 is the last date for nomination submission; nomination papers will be scrutinized from May 5; and May 12 is the deadline for nomination withdrawal.
The returning officers will allocate election symbols among candidates on May 13.
