Shah Rukh Khan gets Y+ security cover following death threats

by tbhdesk

Indian authorities have enhanced the security cover for Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan following “imminent and probable threats” to his life, an official of western Indian state of Maharashtra said today.

The Y+ security cover consists of eleven security personnel, including six commandos, and a police escort vehicle, he said.

The actor has been getting threats after the release of his latest movie “Jawan” which has set new records in box office success.
The Maharashtra state Intelligence department has conveyed about Khan’s threat perception to all the police commissionerates, offices of the superintendents of police and the Special Protection Unit, he said.

The decision to step up 57-year-old Khan’s security was taken last week after a review of it in a high-powered committee meeting.

In 2010, Khan’s security was stepped up after he received threats over the release of his film “My Name Is Khan”.
