Mehreen Mahmud, a prominent Bangladeshi singer, was honoured with ‘Atmajan Smriti’ award on the 104th anniversary of East Bengal Club at Kolkata in India.
She was specially honoured on the East Bengal Day (August 1).
Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs of East Bengal Arup Biswas and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim handed over the award to Mehreen.
Swami Subira Nandoji Maharaj, general secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, was present as a chief guest.
In addition, the singer also recently got ‘Banga Nari Award’ organised at ICCR in Kolkata.
