At one stage, they set a bus of Welcome Paribahan, a motorcycle and a police pick-up van near Shyamoli Shishu Mela on fire.
They also vandalised around a dozen of buses and motorcycles, our staff photographer reports from the spot.

The vandals left the area within moments.
