The Chamber Judge of the Supreme Court has stayed the High Court order asking for probe into the allegations against the owner of S Alam Group of transferring huge money abroad without permission of the Bangladesh Bank.
Justice M Enayetur Rahim of Chamber Bench of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court passed the order on Wednesday.
The stay order came following a leave to appeal petition filed by Mohammad Saiful Alam, owner of S Alam Group, and his wife Farzana Parveen.
The Chamber Judge also sent the matter to the full bench of the Appellate Division to be heard on January 8.
