PM to address public rally in Khulna on November 9

Awami League and its front organizations are busy for organizing a mammoth public rally on Khulna Circuit House Ground on November 9, to be addressed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The Premier will address the rally after inaugurating several projects including much awaited Khulna-Mongla Railway Line.

“We will express our gratitude to Sheikh Hasina to turn public meeting into human sea on November 9,” said Sheikh Helal Uddin, Parliament Member of Bagerhat-1 constituency, as chief guest in an extended meeting of city unit Awami League yesterday evening.

He requested the leaders, activists, supporters of AL and its front organisations and pro-liberation forces to join the public meeting to express honour, respect and support to her for implementing numerous development projects including the Padma Bridge in the south-western region during last fifteen years.

Nobody can defeat AL, if we work unitedly, he said, adding that everybody should work with integrated efforts, so that, Sheikh Hasina will return to power for the fifth time for continuing country’s ongoing development spree.

Chaired by city unit AL president and Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, S M Kamal Hossain, organizing secretary of central AL working committee, addressed as key speaker while General Secretary of City unit AL MDA Babul Rana conducted the meeting.

To make the public meeting a total success, leaders and its front organizations has been creating a festive atmosphere across the Khulna division for the grand occasion. City unit AL will organise the public rally.

Talking to BSS, MDA Babul Rana, General Secretary, of city unit AL said AL and its associate bodies are now passing busy time to beautify the city and its adjacent areas.

“Colourful banners will hang and posters will be pasted throughout the city and district. Leaders and activists are taking out processions to encourage the people to attend the rally.

The development activities of the incumbent present government are being highlighted, he said.

The streets of the industrial city will be decorated with multi-colour banners, festoons and posters, he said, adding that publicity campaign is going on in full swing from today.
