- Will tell party to stay united for next election
The ruling Awami League is holding a special extended meeting at Ganabhaban on Sunday morning.
The meeting, chaired by Awami League chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, started just after 10:30am.
Senior Awami League leaders, including central committee and advisory council members, lawmakers, and local elected representatives, will join the meeting.
Sheikh Hasina will give the meeting a message to stay united to face the next general election amid an anti-government movement by opposition parties, according to party insiders.
