Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader and his wife Sherifa Quader have taken nomination papers from the returning officer for two seats in Dhaka as both of them want to be candidates from Dhaka in the next National Assembly elections.
According to the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner’s office, Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has taken nomination papers for Dhaka-17 Constituency comprising Gulshan-Banani and Vasantek areas. Sherifa Quader has taken nomination papers for Dhaka-18 Constituency comprising Kuril, Khilkhet and Uttara areas.
From 20 constituencies in Dhaka, including these two, 80 people have received nomination papers till Saturday.
Nomination papers can be collected and submitted from the Returning Officer or Assistant Returning Officer till November 30 to be a candidate for the election.
