Sales of eggs and meat at affordable prices began in Saidpur of the district today on the occasion of Ramadan.
The programme started at around 8 am in Shaheed Tulshiram Road in Syedpur town.
Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Shaymol Kumar Rai said egg is being sold at Tk 9 per piece, broiler chicken at Tk 170 per kg and Sonali chicken is being sold at Tk 250 per kg by A R Agro Farm and Rifat Fish and Poultry Farm of the upazila on the occasion of holy Ramadan. It decreases the activities of middlemen at market, he added.
