State Minister for Commerce Ahasanul Islam (Titu) on Thursday said they would crack down on those who would hoard commodities or attempt to hike the prices through conspiracy.
The state minister came up with the warning while inaugurating the TCB product sales programme for January in the capital.
Titu said the government would lend all kinds of support to those who do business ethically.
“We have been observing the volatility in the rice market for the past few days. We will go to the market and see the management. We will take initiatives to remove any bottlenecks in the supply chain from mill to shop,” he added.
