Bengali film star Jaya Ahsan is making her debut in Bollywood with Indian director Anirudh Roy Chowdhury’s movie ‘Karak Singh’. The movie is releasing on OTT platform Zee5 on December 8. However, in an interview given to the Anandabazar Patrika before the release of the film, the director said that Jaya may be in his next film.
Aniruddha said, ‘I will make two Bengali films in the next year. A ‘Cafe Kinara’. Thinking about the film has been going on for six or seven years. I will make another picture of mother-daughter story. I will do this first, by February-March. The performer is not final, but I have told Jaya, I have told Apu (Shaswat Chatterjee).’
Apart from this, he said, Bangladeshi actors can be seen in his another movie ‘Cafe Kinara’.
The director also said that his new movie ‘Karak Singh’ will be released in OTT but will premiere on big screens in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru in India.
